‘A’ is located on the banks of river
Konar in Bokaro district of Jharkhand
State. The original installed capacity
of the Station was 175 MW, having
3 units of 45 MW each and one unit
of 40 MW. BTPS ‘A’ was nation’s biggest
thermal power station in the fifties
of last century. Also it was the first
power station to have a captive coalmine. |
