DVC
has a Training Institute
of its own at Chandrapura
having requisite infrastructure.
Various training capsules
for upgradation of skills
are being conducted at the
training institute. Employees
are also sent for training
to other institutions run
by the Government of India
or private agencies. In
the year 2004-05 a large
number of engineers, medical
officers, accounts personnel
were sent for training in
prestigious institutions
like PMI, NOIDA, NTPC, NIFM,
CII, ESCI, ICWAI etc. DVC
also conducts in-house training
programmes at its Headquarters.
DVC has taken up massive
programme of computerization
in all the projects, field
formations and its headquarters.
Appropriate training is
being imparted to the existing
employees for using computer
towards the complete automation
of all systems of work in
the near future.

Public Health Department
situated at Panchet undertakes
the following programmes:
- Monitoring
of water pollution and
anti-malarial work.
- Implementation
of immunization programme,
family planning and other
programmes under the National
Health Policy.
- Conducting
camps on family planning,
eye, cancer awareness,
TB awareness, Aids awareness,
pulse-polio immunization
etc. in collaboration
with respective State
Government, Indian Medical
Association and Lions
Club.
