Overview
DVC’s
constant efforts to enhance quality of power and
ensure higher reliability of power supply has
met with remarkable success and DVC has registered
an all time record in power generation in 2007-08.
Several
factors have contributed to this success:
- Overhauling
and major repair jobs of all performing units
in a phased manner.

Better control of operational parameters and
maintenance of grid discipline.

Proper planning and implementation to overcome
constraints of high frequency in the eastern
region

Other operating parameters of thermal generating

Besides
energy generation, substantial improvements in other
operating parameters could also be achieved during
2007-08 by the coal-based thermal power plants of
DVC, compared to 2006-07, which are shown below.

Export
of Power
Since
December 1, 2002 DVC has been exporting power to
power-deficient regions of the country having equity
participation with the Power Trading Corporation.
