  • Village and school sanitation
Special emphasis has been given on hygiene and sanitation of villages and schools. Effort is being made to provide sanitation and drinking water facility, wherever necessary, to schools within 10 KM radius of major projects. Toilet blocks are made separately for boys and girls in schools. Drinking water is provided through construction of tap points and drawing water from nearby sources. Individual household toilets are being made in villages with active participation of villagers with the objective of making these villages free from open defecation. Over and above village hygiene is taken care of by constructing washing and bathing ghats and burning ghats.
