DVC provides internship opportunities to UG/PG/Doctoral/Post Doctoral students of different courses in order to provide practical exposure to the candidates and thus preparing them for industry specific roles. The internship training is provided at both HQs and DVC projects/locations spread across West Bengal and Jharkhand. The internships are open throughout the year in different domains/areas. Apart from the internship training which has a minimum duration of one month, students are also allowed for one-day industrial visits (accompanied with their faculty members) and mini-projects of small duration (one to two weeks).
Process of application for Internship through online portal :
- The request for internship on behalf of the student(s) has to be made by the training & placement officer (or equivalent) of the concerned college/institution through the online application portal available at the DVC website.
- Applicant institute officials are requested to go through the DVC internship policy before submitting their requests.
- No stipend is payable for the interns.
- The concerned project/Training & Development Department at HQ will issue letters of acceptance in case the internship application is approved. Approval will depend on the fulfilment of eligibility conditions and availability of slots and industry guides.
- The student should report for training at the specified date along with the acceptance letter.
- The student should submit an indemnity bond before commencement of the internship.
- The student should behave in a disciplined manner, follow safety norms and must comply with the directions of the allotted industry guide.
- After successful completion of training, the concerned guide will issue internship completion certificate.
